WHAT TO EXPECT
Date: Saturday 21 November On the water: 10am - 3pm The Basingstoke Canal runs for 32 miles and is home to an abundance of wildlife, heathland, conservation areas and through World War Two military areas - this one is a gorgeous day out and we can't wait to introduce you to it! The perfect Autumn 8-10km paddle, offering calm water and quiet surroundings. This leafy canal route is perfect for steady paddling, good old chaddles (chat and paddles) and checking out the incredible ferns lining the river banks. We head to a stunning section of the Basingstoke Canal near Mytchett, on tree-lined waterways and even to some stunning lakes along the way. __ Our trips are for anyone to join, as long as you are comfortable with the type of water and conditions as described above. We welcome you onto trips even if you've done the route before - we often have paddlers repeat a trip just because they loved the day out! They're all about paddling in beautiful spots with others who are happiest outdoors too! If you're unsure if this trip is for you, or wish to double check your suitability for it, just reach out and we're happy to help! Reminders: > You must be able to self-rescue to join > Bring your own kit and equipment > Be 'on the water' ready by the start time > A valid Paddle UK membership is required (waterways licence & insurance) > If you are booking accommodation, ensure it's fully cancellable up to 24 hours prior > 4% booking fee will be added at checkout
