WHAT TO EXPECT
Date: Saturday 08 August On the water: 9.30am - 4pm Oh hello bucket list paddle! One of the most scenic paddles in the South East. Glide between lush valley sides and dramatic chalk cliffs, with wide skies and a beautifully winding river waterway. This is a gorgeous spot for a day out with the river meandering through the Cuckmere Valley amongst the South Downs, a special nature reserve so keep your eyes peeled for wildlife along the way. The combination between the bucket list meanders, river and a beach hangout make for a fab day of adventure. Please note, this is not a coastal paddle. If it is very calm, we may dip our toe in the sea, however we are unlikely to paddle on the sea. ____ Our trips are for anyone to join, as long as you are comfortable with the type of water and conditions as described above. We welcome you onto trips even if you've done the route before - we often have paddlers repeat a trip just because they loved the day out! They're all about paddling in beautiful spots with others who are happiest outdoors too! If you're unsure if this trip is for you, or wish to double check your suitability for it, just reach out and we're happy to help! Reminders: > You must be able to self-rescue to join > Bring your own kit and equipment > Be 'on the water' ready by the start time > A valid Paddle UK membership is required (waterways licence & insurance) > If you are booking accommodation, ensure it's fully cancellable up to 24 hours prior > 4% booking fee will be added at checkout
