With OfQual regulation, you know you’re getting industry-leading training that’s respected both here at home and around the globe.
These courses are open to anyone, but if you’re after something more personal - like a bespoke session for your students, staff or community groups - we’ve got you. Perfect for Scout groups, cadets, school groups, or community leaders, we offer 10% off private bookings for 6-8 people and 5% off for groups of 5.

SUP SAFER COURSE
Perfect for new paddlers, those wanting to paddle in new environments, build confidence or perhaps you have just bought your first board, come and join the new British Canoeing SUP Safety course to develop your personal paddling skills.

This 4 hour course is designed to build up your knowledge and awareness of safety when paddling in a very sheltered water environment in a fun, friendly and engaging way. We will cover SUP clothing, equipment, environment and the weather, planning your paddles and safety on the water. There is no assessment and our SUP Coaches will ensure you have plenty of time practising.

Personal performance award
The SUP Sheltered Water Personal Performance Award is a one day course open to all paddlers who would like to build their skills to be highly proficient in sheltered water. Your award will give you the ability to organise and carry out an enjoyable and safe trip on the water up to 200 metres from shore in up to Force 3 winds. More information is found here.

Run by our very own SUP coaches, we cover both theory and practical elements of paddleboarding; locations, preparing for the water, environmental considerations, safety and rescue techniques, SUP skills, manoeuvres and reflective learning.

paddlesport safety Rescue course
Do you want to understand paddlesport safety and learn a range of skills to know what to do if you or others were in trouble?
Then this one day multicraft (kayak, canoe, paddle board) course for sheltered water (PSRC) is for you.
We consider safe practices, learn practical solutions to common issues and appropriate responses to incidents on the water. We will cover water safety, throw lines, towing techniques and rescues across all crafts. More information found here.

paddlesport instructor
Do you want to introduce people to paddlesports by running fun, engaging taster sessions?
This British Canoeing qualification is used by outdoor centres, organisations and clubs to support their delivery. This is a multicraft award (kayak, canoe, SUP) that allows you to develop your existing skills and passion. Most paddlers undertaking this course have 50+ hours paddling experience.

In two days, we cover group management, equipment, activities, games, lesson planning, journeys on the water, water safety and how to set yourself up in your new career. There is an assessment of professional standards, personal paddling skills and rescue skills on day two. More information is found here.

This two day course is open to all paddlers regardless your discipline or previous leading experience.

Our trainers will equip you with the skills to lead fun, safe and enjoyable trips that meet your group’s needs and aspirations on sheltered water for a range of mixed crafts. You need to be able to paddle independently and safely on sheltered water.
We cover Leadership philosophy, profiling, journeying skills, safety and rescue management and how to plan successful journeys. As a qualified leader, you can work independently or be deployed by a club, centre or organisation to lead trips and journeys. After the two days, you must pass a practical assessment which you can arrange with your trainer for when you are ready. More information is found here.

Designed for instructors running SUP taster/starter sessions and short journeys in very sheltered water environments.
​
This two day course helps to prepare you for your first instructing role to deliver safe and enjoyable sessions within the safety management systems of clubs, centres or other organisations. It covers practical skills such as kitting up a group, games and activities and mini journeys in a safe and enjoyable environment.
This course is suitable for those over 14 years old and the pre-requisite is to complete your SUP Safer training.

core coach training
This two day course is open to all paddlers regardless your discipline or previous coaching experience.

Our trainers will help you explore subjects to increase your understanding of the learners journey, how to coach learners with different needs, session planning and understanding feedback, structures for practice, your role as a coach and coaching philosophies.
You will also be supported in evolving your personal coaching development plan to enable you to put your learning into practice after the course.
​
For qualified coaches, this can form part of your continuous professional development and has a value of 20 CPD points. There is no assessment at the end of this course, this is the first course before choosing your discipline, such as SUP Sheltered Water Coach. More information is found here.

water coach
After your Core Coach, the SUP Sheltered Water Coach Award is designed to help you plan and deliver safe, enjoyable, progressive coaching sessions so you can coach learners in the Sheltered Water environment on a SUP.
​
This will include coaching beginners new to the sport, or paddlers looking to develop their skills. As a Coach you can deliver British Canoeing awards and training, work independently or you could be deployed by a club, centre or organisation. The training explores how to coach technical and tactical skills, and is designed to be flexible and centered on you.
​
After the two days, you must complete the Coach Award elearning and pass an assessment consisting of a practical assessment, written task, interview, and reflective log book. The assessment date will be arranged with the group once the course is completed. Our role is to support you before, during and long after your course to help you on your coaching journey. & fitness teacher training
We are excited to be working with SUPTA – The SUP Training Academy, to offer their BSUPA endorsed SUP Yoga / SUP Pilates Teacher Training Course.
So if you currently have (or are working towards) a Yoga, Pilates or Fitness Teaching qualification, join us for this fantastic two day training. More information found here.

Together, we will learn the principles and benefits of SUP Yoga/Pilates/Fitness, how to use SUPs, conduct site and risk assessments, adapt sessions, conduct client assessments, tethering methods, equipment, how to plan and deliver movements and exercises for varying abilities on a SUP and more.
​
It is required that you have 100hr Yoga/Pilates qualification or an industry recognised Fitness qualification, 20hr SUP experience, 20+hrs SUP yoga/pilates/fitness practice (10hrs must be evidenced pre-course, 10hrs can be completed post-course).
